Call for Panels
The call for panels opens on 21 September 2025 and closes on 30 November 2025. The Call for workshops and papers will follow, opening on 19 December 2025.
The Call for Panels is for applying to lead entire discussion or presentation sessions with multiple speakers. The Call for Papers is aimed at researchers submitting individual scientific contributions. In doing so, they specifically apply to a panel that matches the content of their paper.
The Call for Workshops is aimed at individuals who want to offer interactive, practice-oriented sessions in which participants actively engage.
The Fair Trade International Symposium (FTIS) will be held as a hybrid event from 23 to 25 September 2026 at the University of Cologne, Germany.
Requirements for panel proposal

Panel proposals should be in adherence to the conference theme.
- All attendants, paper presenters, discussants, chairs, and participants are required to register and pay to attend (full rate 250 EUR; concession and online rates to be announced later).
The process

All proposals must be submitted via email to ftis-2026(at)uni-koeln.de

Please include the panel title, a short description (max. 300 characters) and an abstract (max. 250 words).
- Please provide 5-7 keywords.

If already known, please add information on participants and format.

The panels will be selected by 19 December 2025 and the panel chairs will be notified.

Each panel proposal must be tagged with one thematic stream (see below), as this helps to organize reviewing and scheduling.
